For
nearly 40 years, Barron's has been a staple of Longview, Texas'
retail community. From it's start as a bookstore in 1972, the
then 1,500 square foot store has grown to over ten times that
size today to also include a women's boutique, body & bath,
home décor, and much more. In addition to this "specialty
department store", Jim and Julia Barron also opened Café
Barron's in 1995 offering gourmet fare in a polished casual
setting. This unique blend has captured the attention of The
Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, and Texas Monthly to name
a few.
In 2005 Jim and Julia were joined by their son Brandon, a
1998 graduate of Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business.
